guide

Getting started in the ward mission can be a bit confusing.  There are so many roles, meetings, forms, lists, plans, & visits that your brain may start to feel like this word cloud!

The purpose of this guide is to help you understand how to make your ward mission effective and to get up and running quickly.  In missionary work the Holy Spirit is always our guide, so please be mindful if the spirit is guiding you in a different order or direction. In general, doing things in this order is effective. Don't overwhelm yourself; take one thing at a time. Click on the links to see additional information about each of these topics.

  1. Read the handbook sections for your calling and all the callings in the Ward Mission. All of the church handbook sections relating to the ward mission are available in the "Help by Calling" section of this website.

  2. Hold weekly missionary coordination meetings, even if it's just you and the missionaries at first.

  3. Go on regular ministering visits and try to go weekly.

  4. Help your Ward Council make a Ward Mission Plan.

  5. Make sure your coordination meetings are fully attended.
